Happy Birthday Briley!

Happy 3rd Birthday to my sweet baby girl!

We had a princess party as the princess requested...

And there were many princess presents much to her delight...

Happy Birthday Briley Quinn!  What a fun little girl you are to have around :)  Our favorite quotes from the birthday girl were: This morning Briley & I went to the bank; as we drove off; Briley:"We go carwash now"  She can't get enough of the drive through car wash; unfortunately it was snowing so that wish wasn't granted:(
At her birthday party: John to Briley: "eat your cake"  Briley: "Why?"  "Why" is her new thing to say after you say just about anything; it might not sound funny; but it really is :) She never did touch a bite of the pretty princess cake-apparently, it was just for looks.

 I got Briley a pair of pink sparkly shoes to go with her princess dresses; she tried them on & after wearing them for one second, slipped them off & said "these Paris-er baby size; give those to Paris-er baby."  She says this about any clothes or shoes that don't feel just right...
Briley:"I'm having my nother birthday next week"  We don't think she knows what next week means; she talks about next week all the time... but in this case I think she really is planning to have another birthday next week :)

April Fools!

It might look like an ordinary Oreo, but...
Cami got the idea from a library book "Tilly the Trickster" to fill Oreo cookies with toothpaste & offer them to dad :)  John loves Oreos & eats them almost nightly.  He came home from work to a plate of Oreos on the kitchen counter; of course he popped a whole one in his mouth & then asked, "Are these poisoned?"  We all got a good laugh watching Dad disgustedly spit his oreo out in the sink...We finally GOT HIM!!!  Mr. Trickster himself...

Savannah & Lolo danced in our ward talent show & Briley decided to join them since she'd been practicing with them all along.  They did great; everyone was impressed Briley actually knew the moves :)

Who turned 10 today!

We had a fun party & Savannah got some great gifts.  The magic kit was an especially big hit (Savannah kept having to remind John that it was hers : ))  Thanks Nana & PopPop!  Vanna is looking forward to her party with her friends next week!

& the winners of the ugly Christmas sweater contest are...

John and I won gift cards for having the "ugliest" Christmas sweaters at our Christmas party; we didn't think there was anything ugly about them :)  The girls enjoyed meeting Santa & telling him what they'd like for Christmas; Briley even told him she'd like a "Lella" doll & gave him a high five : )
